Counting down
Tomorrow my son leaves for Argentina.... those 6 weeks in the MTC sure did fly by! Let me tell you what... it sure is easier to look behind you and see how fast the time has gone than look forward.. I hate that awful missionary countdown app that only shows 4% of his mission complete! Word of advice Missionary Moms... count backwards, not forward at this point! :)
My heart is full and heavy at the same time. I am elated for him to get out in the field and experience a new culture and a new part of the world but at the same time I am overwhelmed at the fact that I still have around 690 days before I get to hug him in person again. Heartbreaking!
To help track his progress, I made a missionary countdown chart and have it available for purchase in my Etsy shop simply because I could not find one I liked. I am happy to customize a countdown chart for you too... just send me a convo on Etsy.
